The DC Education Research Collaborative’s seven research priorities are based on the DC education community’s goals for its students and systems. The first two—an antiracist system and resource equity—are the foundation for all the collaborative’s projects, as well as the other five priorities. 

1. an antiracist system where all schools are places where students flourish
2. adequate access to and equitable distribution of resources
3. equity in learning outcomes
4. students prepared for success after high school
5. school environments that support students’ social, emotional, physical, and academic well-being
6. a high-quality, diverse educator workforce
7. schools that are responsive to family, caregiver, and community needs
