The DC Education Research Collaborative brings together research organizations and community members to conduct research that empowers families and caregivers, educators, and policymakers with information that can help them meet the needs of the DC public school community. 

All our work adheres to the following values: 

• collaboration with policymakers, district and school leaders, teachers, families, and others working to improve public schools 
• equity as both a goal of our research and a guiding principle for engaging with those invested in DC public education
• independence from government, funders, and outside interests 
• quality in our research and products 
• relevance to the context of DC and community needs
